This is my idea for the colours that we will use for our mechs. The blue and green are a must but you can use any colour for your third one. Blue and green should be owned by every one even if its the basic ones. I don't really like the basic green, maybe just because it is the default green, but I have to try this with non-basic colors. The other colors are OK for me. My currently used colors are: - Sapphire (which I would probably use for blue) - Zircon (basically cyan, so already half green and half blue ... I'll check what more greenish colours I already have) - FRR White (there is an FRR red, I'll see how it looks) For historical reference (I don't want to say that we have to adhere to that, if we decide to make a change), a long time ago Theaus posted the following colours as -SO- unit colours: Basic Blue, Titanium White, Slate, Camo Light Blue, Camo Camo Blue, Sapphire, Hellblau, Pine, Zircon, Windover And while we are on the topic unit (hey, not clan!  ) livery, I'd like to discuss the use of decals. Personally I really like the FRR logo in a brightly coloured circle (I use a smiley for that), which says: We are FRR, shoot at me if you dare!(which rhymes if you spell "FRR" with German pronunciation: Eff Air Air) Edit: Or as stated in an earlier post here: This glowing ball of fire will consume you! |

The colours I have are just the basic ones. You don't have to use them. Its the pattern that I'm proposing. Like I said, the third colour is your's to decide on. The first and second colours should be a blue and a green.
Also, not all of us have the $$$ to get the MC to get those things.

I think Cobra Dark Green and Ox Blood were prizes in MWO tournaments, so many might already have them. And there have been many MC prizes, so buying the FRR decal should be possible even for some that don't spend real money on the game.
But requiring only two colours and offering personal choice (but with a suggestion) for the third is a good idea anyway.

I can't stand Basic Green, and I know the devs purposely made the default color something ugly, so anyone who cares about color has an incentive to buy and spend MC to change it. |

There have been so many color given away as prizes for tournaments that I assume most people have at least some colors.
I have bought only very few (just 2?) directly, everything else comes from mech packs and tournaments: Rasalhague Blue, FRR White, Resistance White, Resistance Black, Basic Red, Rasalhague Red, Crimson, Resistance Red, FRR Lite Red, AJ Drk Orange, AJ Lite Orange, FRR Pure Orange, Invasion Orange, Rasalhague Orange, Basic Green, Invasion Green, Cobra Lgt Green, Cobra Dark Green, Moegi, Zircon, Polygon White, Camo Camo Blue, Invasion Gray, Polygon Gray, Polygon Black, Basic Blue, Titanium White, Hotrod Black, Sapphire, Buccaneer Red, Ox Blood, Grey, Orpiment, Kahki, Obsidian Black, Oil Slick Grey, Reaver Red, Hazard Yellow
